Amanda Milling, Prospective MP for Cannock Chase accompanied Andrea Leadsom, Economic Secretary to the Treasury on a visit to Cannock small business Product Nation.
Formed in 2012 by Alex Wilkinson-Hughes, Product Nation supplies office and stationary products around the UK from its unit in Cannock. The firm’s success is evident in the way it has grown in the last 12 months alone – with annual turnover doubling each year and three recent additions to the team - including a Business to Business account manager, employed solely for the needs of the local area.
Alex and the team from Product Nation discussed with the Treasury Minister Andrea Leadsom and Prospective Conservative MP Amanda Milling, some of the challenges faced when they first set up the business to their exciting growth plans.
Mrs Leadsom commented: “Product Nation is a great example of a small business which is seeing real growth and demand for its products and services.
“I talked with the team about their experiences of setting up their business and, in particular, the support that they have received from the banks since setting up and that they need from them to help with their expansion plans.”
Amanda added: “I met Product Nation a few months ago and I have been hugely impressed by their enthusiasm, energy and drive which is paying dividends in terms of their growth in the last 12 months and their plans for growth. They are a great example of a growing Cannock business.”
