Amanda Milling MP crowns Chocolate Treasures as the “Best of Cannock Chase” to mark Small Business Saturday

Cannock Chase MP Amanda Milling has been running her annual competition to seek out residents’ favourite local independent businesses.  Over the last few weeks businesses from across Cannock Chase have been battling it out to win one of the 11 awards up for grabs, with the business polling the most overall votes securing the coveted ‘Best of Cannock Chase’ award.

On Small Business Saturday, The Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, the Rt Hon Grant Shapps MP announced Chocolate Treasures as the overall ‘Best of Cannock Chase’ winner having secured the most votes of any business. Chocolate Treasures defend the title they first won in 2021.

The Rt Hon Grant Shapps MP said: “There are so many fantastic businesses in the area which are the backbone of our community, so I understand Cannock Chase's local MP, Amanda Milling, has run a local shop competition. I'd like to thank all of those who took part in the competition and I’m honoured to be given the privilege to announce the overall winner.

“The winner of Amanda's local shop competition is Chocolate Treasures in Heath Hayes. Congratulations to the winner and I'd encourage everyone to go and support Chocolate Treasures, and all the other participants, today and in the run up to Christmas.“

Amanda Milling MP said: “I would like to congratulate all our category winners in this year’s competition. A particular congratulations to Chocolate Treasures on securing the overall ‘Best of Cannock Chase’ award, and defending their title.

“I would also like to thank everyone for voting.  I know that it means a lot to the winners to see that all of their hard work is valued.  And on this Small Business Saturday I would like to thank all of our local independent businesses who bring something special to Cannock Chase, and would encourage everyone to go out and support them this weekend and in the run up to Christmas.”
