COP26 and Tackling Climate Change in Cannock Chase

Over the past few weeks, the UK has hosted COP26 in Glasgow. This was an international climate summit to agree a global strategy to tackle climate change.

These past weeks have been some of the hardest in my six years in Parliament.

In one week we lost two of our finest Conservative MPs. James Brokenshire lost his battle with lung cancer and Sir David Amess was murdered while carrying out a constituency surgery.

During the recent Cabinet reshuffle, I was privileged to be given a new position in Government as Minister for Asia at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, focusing on the Asia brief. I’m looking forward to banging the drum for the United Kingdom on the global stage. 

Walk for Eileen 2021

It was lovely to join everyone taking part in the Walk for Eileen 2021.
