Local schools can book free tours of Parliament via the Parliamentary Education Service.

School visits to Parliament consist of an educational tour of the Palace of Westminster and a choice of workshop. There is also a twenty minute slot for students to speak to their MP and ask any questions or raise any queries.

Schools in Cannock Chase are also eligible for a transport subsidy to help with transport costs. This is 50% of receipted travel costs, up to a maximum claim of £800.

All information schools need to arrange a visit is available at http://www.parliament.uk/education.

If you wish to speak to the Parliamentary Education Service you can call them on 0207 219 4496 (9am Monday - 5pm Friday). You can also write to them at Education Service, Houses of Parliament, London SW1A 2TT

Please note that due to demand tours need to be booked several months in advance.
