King's Speech 2023

On Tuesday 7 November, HM King Charles III delivered his first speech as our Monarch.

In it he set out the Government’s agenda for the coming year, outlining 21 new Bills that Ministers intend to pass during the next Parliamentary session.

Cannock to share in £1m investment to tackle ASB in Staffordshire

£1 million is to be invested in tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) in Cannock, Longton and Tunstall as part of the latest round of the Government’s Safer Streets Fund, following a successful bid by the Staffordshire Commissioner’s Office (SCO).

Great British Insulation Scheme

Last week the Government launched the Great British Insulation Scheme valued at £1 billion.

This scheme will help households improve their energy efficiency and could save families an average of £400 a year on their energy bills.

Results day brought students to schools, colleges and other educational institutions across Cannock Chase to collect their exam results.

Rail Update

In my last column I provided an update on the Chase Line, and specifically the December timetable change which will see the last service from Birmingham go all the way through to the Rugeley stations. Great news for Rugeley passengers!

Chase Line Timetable Improvements
